"...An indisposed soprano originally scheduled for Messiaen's "Poèmes Pour Mi" was replaced by tenor Dominic Armstrong, who sang several songs by Henri Duparc. Born in 1848, Duparc suffered from a neurological disorder that truncated a promising career. He destroyed all but 13 works, and Armstrong -- who wields a voice that is equal parts lyrical and muscular -- gave six of them an emotionally convincing performance." - Grace Jean
